Step 2: Complete your CDL Mentors Online ELDT Class A or Class B Theory Course
Complete each module of the CDL Mentors Online ELDT Class A or Class B Theory Courses whenever and wherever (even from your phone) and pass your quizzes with an 80% score to earn your certificate.
Step 3: Take your commercial learner's permit (CLP) exam at the state department of motor vehicles/office of motor vehicles (DMV/OMV)
We’ll share proof of course completion and your score with the FMCSA Training Provider Registry.
Step 4: Find your behind-the-wheel training provider in the Training Provider Registry (TPR)
Now you’re fully prepared to move on to the skills portion where you will clock both range and behind-the-wheel hours in preparation for your road test.
Step 5: Apply for your CDL at the DMV/OMV
Bring required documentation to the DMV/OMV (social security card, birth certificate, etc.). The driving school you choose will certify you proficient in the skills curriculum and indicate how many behind-the-wheel hours were completed.
